In 2001, Freddie was awarded the Barclays Theatre Award (TMA) for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Yerma by Federico García Lorca, adapted by Biyi Bandele, in a production by Collective Artistes that toured the UK. In 1998, he played Marcus in the BBC drama serial Holding On — a complex and moving London-set story that went on to win the BAFTA for Best Drama Serial.
